The Question: Could you recommend an awesome fat-burning product for women, I'm currently at 22.2 lbs. of body fat which is mostly in my lower body (hips, thighs, butt, legs) and I'm looking to drop my body fat count to 17 lbs. as soon as possible without having to use a product that is harsh on the body? I already do cardio work 3 days a week and weight training 4 days a week. Is there a supplement you can recommend? At the moment I'm only taking 1 tablespoon of flax seed per day and 1 tablespoon of Udo essential oil per day. I'm thinking of taking "In Shape - Dream Shape (GABA)" along with "In Shape - Dangerous Curves Gold (DHEA)" is that too much? What are the side effects? OR is there something better I could be taking. In the past I have tried: Proenzie, Xenadrine & Stacker 3. Can I mix the flax seed & the UDO oil with those fat-burning supplements? Should I also be taking a daily multi-vitamin? Please let me know what you recommend. Is hard to make a decision with so many choices out there Thank you, Colette simpsoncl@phibred.com The Answer: Hello Colette,
You sound like you know as much about this stuff as I do! Ok, let me see, where should I start. You said you were interested in taking GABA or Gamma Aminobutyric Acid and DHEA or Dehydroepiandrosterone. These two products are hormonal manipulators. The Gaba is for growth hormone release and the DHEA is for increase testosterone output. They have both received marginal success in quality research studies and are not directly connected to fat burning per se. Although you would probably know that if you can increase your lean body mass than you will increase your metabolism speed and ultimately this would decrease your body fat percentage. So, these products would work in somewhat of a secondary way. But, I don't think I would be taking these products if my goal were to lose weight or body fat levels.
Mixing your essential fatty acids with the various fat burning supplements should not be a problem. And, taking a quality multi-vitamin/mineral formula is always a good idea! Here is a bunch of information that I think you will find helpful. It is a culmination of various responses that I have given to our members.

Hydroxycut and all the various "fat burners" out there do work but you really need to cycle these supplements to avoid a down-regulation of your body's natural adrenal stimulants. You should cycle your fat burners with a 2 week on 2 week off cycle. Then, once per year, you can stay on for up to 8 weeks without any negative consequences. You should check with your doctor beforehand, however, to see about blood pressure concerns and any contraindications with other medications.
Don’t feel that you have to take these products to be successful in your fat loss endeavors. Remember, hard training and consistent dieting are the true keys to long term success.

Triboxil is starting to become a popular weight loss supplement. While I always hesitate to recommend a pill for fat loss, I do understand the difficulties that almost everybody has in keeping their "weight" under control. These weight loss formulas can help in reducing body fat levels but you should also begin a quality exercise and nutrition program. This will help you to reach your goals much faster than just taking a supplement alone could do. Then, once you reach your goals, you will have a much easier time keeping the weight off so you don’t have to take these supplements all the time!
As with any medication, there can be side effects and you should definitely check with your doctor to see if you may be taking certain medication or have a medical history that would prevent you from taking Triboxil.

You ask what the best fat loss product is out there? It really depends on what category you are talking about. In the "Fat Burning" category there are all of the ephedrine, caffeine, ma huang, gurauna, and willow bark etc. combinations. Twin Lab's Ripped fuel, EAS's Phen Free, and Labrada's Kwik Burn are in this category. These really work but they can make some people dehydrated, nervous and jittery and they should be "cycled" with a 2 week on, 2 week off schedule. |
