The Question: I have been using your Get Lean Program for about three weeks. I should have checked into this issue before I began a work out program but I didn't. Anyway, I've been wondering, are there any exercises that I shouldn't be doing with a diaphramatic hernia? Or are there any safeguards that I should use to prevent any problems that may arise from that hernia? The Answer: Just make sure that you continue to breathe throughout the performance of your repetitions. You don't want to increase any internal pressures from holding your breath even if you don't have a hernia! From here, I will have to defer you to your doctor. Each medical case is so individualized that I should not comment on what exercises you should or should not perform. |
