The Question:

Currently I'm taking a protein supplement and I want to start taking creatine, but I'm about to take a new job drug test and I don't want anything to interfere with the results. I'm not taking any medications or any herbs. I was told that protein just changes the acidity and this isn't looked at, but no one seems to know if creatine has any effect, if any, on a drug test. Can you please tell me the effects of both protein and creatine on a drug test and if they're something to worry about? I need to know if I need to stop taking protein before I take the drug test.

The Answer:

No, eating or taking protein or creatine will not affect a drug test whatsoever. Think about it, both creatine and obviously protein are natural things found in all sorts of meats. Here is an article about creatine that I wrote a while ago. Check it out to learn a little more.
