The Question:

By the answers to a lot of diet questions, I know that you recommend drinking a lot of water daily. My question is, what if I get tired of drinking water?
I sometimes mix 1/2 diet Sprite with water just to give it a little flavor.

Do you think this could have any adverse effects? I am using your Get Lean Program and have been following your recommendations (that I found by searching your answers to other members) for diet, etc. What are your thoughts on non-caffine diet drinks?

Or do you have any other suggestions?

The Answer:

I know it gets tough to guzzle down plain old water all day long. But, all of the caffeine and sugar free drinks also contain tons of nutri-sweet or aspartame. These artificial sweeteners can also create some problems and have even been associated with certain neurological disorders that do go away once you stop ingesting nutri-sweet etc., but they really aren't that healthy for you!

Try adding a half lemon or so to your water container. This will do wonders for the flavor. Also, try out de-caffeinated, and unsweetened tea with lemon. This can also taste pretty good! Try not to drink more than 1 diet soda per day. You can do it!
