The Question:

What is the best way to adapt your body to eat the right foods?
What is the correct amount of calories needed to burn a pound?

The Answer:

By the right foods I am presuming this means whole, unprocessed foods low in sugar and saturated fat. It is tough to stop eating these types of foods. There is no easy way to adapt your body so that not eating these foods is easier. However, if you do a really good job for about 14 days your body will start to lose its cravings for these foods. But, the first 2 weeks can be tough.

Also, 1 pound of fat has 3,500 calories. So, in order to "burn a pound" most people would have to exercise about 14 hours! I know this sounds a little scary but that's why you also need to watch what you eat as well as workout consistently. Interestingly, if you add 1 pound of muscle you will burn about 100 calories more in a 24 hour time span without doing any exercise at all!!
